Level up your accounting career with GGFL! Go beyond the numbers.

At GGFL, our work is our pride, people are our strength, we embrace change and grow with it, and we work collaboratively.

At GGFL, we’re not your average accounting firm. Yes, we take our work seriously (tax laws require it!), but we also believe in having fun, supporting one another, and growing together. We’re proud of what we do, energized by who we work with, and always up for embracing what’s next.

We’re Ottawa’s go-to tax planning and accounting firm for successful business owners. Entrepreneurs and local leaders trust us to help them navigate complex financial territory—from audits to tax planning—with confidence, clarity, and a little bit of personality.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, client-focused Senior Staff Accountant who is ready to lead assurance and advisory work. You’re confident in your skills, curious by nature, and love supporting clients (and your teammates) with creative solutions and rock-solid advice.

And now, we want you to join our incredible team!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Running the show on large audit and review engagements—including designing and tweaking audit procedures
  • Preparing engagement files, financial statements, and professional client communication
  • Getting in on the action with tax planning for corporate clients
  • Preparing corporate tax returns like a boss

WHY JOIN US?

  • Real impact. You’ll work directly with local entrepreneurs, making a meaningful difference in the community where you live.
  • Your career, your way. We support your growth journey with structured development, coaching, and career pathing.
  • CPA support that’s second to none. Paid study time, financial support, and a best-in-class pass rate.
  • Flexible time off. Generous PTO, bonus holiday week in December, and half-day Fridays in July and August!
  • Paid Overtime – yup, you read that right.
  • Free onsite parking – because who wants to pay for that?

What you bring to the table:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a public accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and Canadian tax (CPA in progress? Even better!)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A feedback-friendly mindset and a willingness to grow
  • A passion for helping clients thrive—and maybe even a love for spreadsheets (we won’t judge)

Let’s build something great together.
Apply now and bring your passion for accounting to GGFL.
