The Opportunity

Canopy Growth is searching for a Senior System Administrator, to report directly to the Director, IT Technology, with strong knowledge of wide range technologies to join our IT Technology team. This team is responsible for maintaining healthy company systems and network infrastructure that includes but is not limited to Implement Canopy Growth Infrastructure across existing and new sites through established standards and practices, Office VoIP telephone systems, Video Conferencing equipment, Helpdesk support for OS and Windows users, Hardware and software asset management, including mobile devices, and Active Directory Administration and architecture

Responsibilities 

  • Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

  • Support desk for employees across multiple physical sites

  • Onboarding equipment and resources for staff

  • Server infrastructure maintenance and support for on premise as well as cloud services

  • Security systems support and administration

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

  • Other duties as assigned

Experience

  • 5 + years relevant experience

  • Previous experience in NetApp administration, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting required

  • Post-secondary technical relevant education

  • Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Apple OSX

  • Knowledge of Networking and Active Directory

  • Knowledge of network hardware (Routers, switches, Wireless)

  • Experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment a must

  • Experience working with a wide range of technical skills a must

  • Knowledge of Helpdesk and asset management software

  • Knowledge of virtualization software such as VMWare / AWS cloud services

  • Must perform in a fast paced environment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects

  • Proven Ability to manage personal time and deliverable commitments

  • Passion for technology

  • Ability to travel
