What We Need

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Program Manager for Game Security to lead and drive critical initiatives aimed at protecting our games, platforms, and players from security threats. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in program management principles (PMP-aligned) and a strong understanding of the unique security challenges within the gaming industry. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage complex, cross-functional programs from inception through delivery and ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Program and Project Management
  • Lead Security Initiatives: Own the end-to-end lifecycle for complex, multi-faceted security programs and projects, ensuring they align with our overall business and security strategy.

  • Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies. Track progress against milestones, manage dependencies, risks and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

  • Program Management Fundamentals: As part of our Program Management Office (PMO) apply best practices aligned with our ways of working in project management, including scope definition, work breakdown structures (WBS), resource leveling, and critical path analysis, to ensure robust and predictable delivery.

Operations and Continuous Improvement
  • Security Operations Oversight: Partner with security engineers and analysts to define and improve operational processes for anti-tox, anti-cheat, anti-piracy, pre-release protection and build reviews.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Drive consistency and predictability in planning and delivery, using objective metrics to measure the effectiveness of security programs and operations. Provide regular, data-driven reports to stakeholders, partnering, and executive leadership.

  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in program delivery and security operations by identifying bottlenecks, implementing efficient tooling, and refining workflows.

Risk Management
  • Threat and Risk Assessment: Proactively identify, analyze, and manage program and project risks, with a specific focus on security-related threats to game integrity, player data, and platform stability.

  • Mitigation Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive risk mitigation and contingency plans, ensuring stakeholders are informed and prepared for potential impacts.

  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all programs adhere to internal security policies, industry standards, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., data privacy).

Communication and Stakeholder Management
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Serve as the central point of contact, driving collaboration and consensus among engineering, product, legal, and studio teams on security priorities.

  • Executive and Organizational Communication: Clearly and concisely communicate program status, risks, and achievements to all levels of the organization, including technical teams, within the PMO, senior management, and studio management.

  • Documentation: Maintain high-quality, up-to-date program documentation, including charters, requirements, decision logs, and post-mortems.

What Will Make You A Great Fit

Required
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a minimum of 3 years focused specifically on security, cybersecurity, or game security.

  • Program Management Expertise: Proven ability to manage large, complex programs using recognized methodologies.

  • Security Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of common game security challenges (e.g., anti-cheat, account security, anti-piracy, platform security) and general cybersecurity principles.

  • Technical Acumen: Ability to engage in technical discussions with security engineers, understand architectural diagrams, and grasp technical trade-offs.

  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred, or a similar advanced program/project management certification.

  • Project Management Tools: Jira, Confluence, Gsuite, Slack.

Preferred
  • Experience working in the gaming industry (PC, console, or mobile).

  • Experience in presenting program scope, details, and risks in slides, visuals, and other audience-oriented formats.

  • Ability to simplify complex compliance, operational, organizational, or technical risk to a non-technical audience.

  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or CISSP certification is a plus.
