We believe small businesses are at the heart of our communities, and championing them is worth fighting for. We empower small business owners to manage their finances fearlessly, by offering the simplest, all-in-one financial management solution they can't live without.

As a Senior Technical Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll play a critical role in shaping Wave’s future by bringing in the exceptional engineering, product, and technical talent to help us continue to grow and ultimately help small businesses thrive so the heart of our communities beats stronger.

You’ll act as a true strategic partner to technical leaders, owning the full-cycle recruitment process while also coaching and influencing hiring managers with varying levels of ownership and experience.

You are an expert storyteller and purpose-driven recruiter. You know how to sell candidates on more than just a role—sharing our culture, values, and impact with authenticity and enthusiasm. You bring market expertise, data fluency, and an iterative mindset to constantly refine our hiring strategies and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

How you'll make an impact

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for technical roles (Engineering, Product, Data, etc.), from intake to offer, ensuring an engaging and inclusive candidate experience.
  • Partner closely with our People & Culture Business Partners to develop proactive, data-informed recruitment strategies that support the goals of our technical functions.
  • Influence and coach hiring managers and technical leaders (including CTO, VP Engineering, CPO) on how to hire great talent, structure effective interview processes, and build inclusive hiring practices.
  • Tell Wave’s story with impact—convey our purpose, culture, and employee value proposition in a way that excites high-performing technical candidates who care about meaningful work.
  • Bring the market to your stakeholders—share market insights, talent trends, and benchmarks to guide hiring decisions and influence change.
  • Use data to drive decisions—track metrics to identify bottlenecks and continuously improve the hiring experience.
  • Build and scale programs that support proactive talent sourcing, DEI goals, and long-term pipeline development.
  • Champion continuous improvement by iterating on tools, processes, and systems to improve hiring outcomes and create an exceptional candidate experience.

You'll thrive here by possessing the following:

  • Have 3–5 years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth environments, with a strong track record of filling engineering, product, and/or data roles.
  • Are skilled at sourcing technical talent, with hands-on experience using platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools to proactively find, engage, and convert passive candidates.
  • Experience designing interview processes, managing the funnel, managing interviews and candidate communications, and ultimately filling roles with great hires.
  • Know how to strategically influence hiring decisions and coach leaders while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Love storytelling and are energized by connecting people to purpose-driven work that makes a difference in the lives of small business owners.
  • Are data-obsessed—you bring insights, not just opinions, and use metrics to drive improvement and accountability.
  • Understand the tech talent landscape and can speak confidently to compensation trends, sourcing tactics, and evolving candidate expectations.
  • Are curious, resourceful, and proactive—constantly exploring new channels, tools, and approaches to uplevel our recruiting game.
  • Thrive in a high-volume, high-impact environment where building trust and delivering results go hand-in-hand.

At Wave, you’re treated like the incredible human being you are.
