In this permanent role within our RAC CoLAB team, you will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, responsible for creating exceptional user experiences across various business areas. As a Senior UX Designer, you will drive the design process, focusing on user research, concept development, UI design, and prototyping, while ensuring intuitive, interactive, and accessible designs. Your work will deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions that align with both user needs and business objectives.
What will you be doing?
Design Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CoLAB partners: Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement across the member journey and ensure design adds value.
- Understand member and business needs: Lead user research, including stakeholder interviews and competitor analysis, to inform design decisions.
- Develop service and experience design concepts: Contribute to UX methodologies, create design concepts, and support member experience design activities.
- Conduct user experience research: Use human-centered and participatory design methods to gather insights and design user-friendly solutions.
- UI design: Develop visually appealing and functional user interfaces, ensuring they are consistent, intuitive, and aligned with the overall design strategy.
- Create high-quality prototypes: Develop interactive prototypes that are intuitive, accessible, and enhance the user experience.
- Ensure delightful member experiences: Execute visual, information, and interaction design to create enjoyable and seamless experiences that meet business and member needs.
- Communicate outcomes: Share design stories, insights, and artifacts to demonstrate design impact within the organisation.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Collaborate with the design team: Work with other designers to explore innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Mentor junior UX designers: Provide guidance, facilitate brainstorming, and lead critiques to encourage creative thinking and collaboration.
- Share knowledge: Lead workshops or presentations to share insights, best practices, and methodologies within the team.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Engage with stakeholders: Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet business goals and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Support partners: Assist with testing, iteration, and identification of synergies across teams, fostering a growth mindset within partnerships.
- Leverage the design system: Work with the design team to create high-fidelity designs, facilitate developer walkthroughs, and support implementation from concept to delivery.
