About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to fill the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) of Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This critical leadership position will oversee all of the aspects of the company’s financial operations, planning, and revenue management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic growth. The SVP will be a key business partner to the executive team, providing financial insights and driving initiatives to optimize performance and achieve long-term success. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, revenue cycle management, and the ability to lead and develop high performing teams.
Job Responsibilities
Accounting Leadership:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain a strong system of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Leadership:
- Lead the development of the annual budget, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and the board of directors.
- Build financial models.
Revenue Operations (RevOps) Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's revenue operations strategy to optimize revenue generation and efficiency.
- Implement and manage systems and processes to streamline the revenue cycle, including lead management, sales forecasting, and contract management.
- Analyze revenue data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Drive initiatives to improve customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership position.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing revenue operations strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-growth company or a dynamic industry.
- Experience with specific ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience in a company with a complex revenue model.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale finance organizations.
