The salary range for this position is
Toronto: $89,000 - $ 117,075
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan : Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

What you will do:
- Act as a key member of the System Administration team, supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations across on-premises and cloud environments
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server) in production environments
- Handle incident, service request, and change tickets within defined SLAs, ensuring high system availability and reliability
- Lead incident resolution and provide detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents; manage critical incidents independently without immediate escalation path
- Manage and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including pod management, networking, scaling, and deployment troubleshooting
- Manage physical and virtual infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualization platforms (VMware/KVM/Hyper-V)
- Troubleshoot network issues including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewall rules, and load balancing
- Support infrastructure changes following ITIL-based processes
- Identify opportunities for automation; develop and maintain Bash/Shell scripts and leverage Ansible for configuration management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, application teams, and customers to resolve issues and deliver infrastructure services
- Maintain accurate MOPs and operational procedures
- Perform OS major version and service pack upgrades on production Linux systems, including pre/post validation and rollback planning
- Manage and troubleshoot distributed storage platforms including Ceph and Rook-Ceph, ensuring cluster health, OSD operations, and performance
- Perform hands-on switch-level troubleshooting and configuration on enterprise network hardware (Extreme Networks, Juniper, Cisco) - preferred
- Experience with enterprise storage platforms including block storage, path management, and Oracle RAC shared storage - preferred
Experience with HA and resilient storage clustering solutions in production environments (KVM + GFS2) - preferred
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in System Administration / Infrastructure Operations within production environments
- Strong expertise in Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE) including performance tuning and system internals
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes: cluster architecture (API server, scheduler, etcd), Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, and pod/node troubleshooting
- Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP), RAID, firmware, and system-level troubleshooting
- Knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, subnetting, routing, firewalls, and load balancers
- Experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch) - preferred
- Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, Hyper-V)
- Strong experience with OS patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening (CIS benchmarks)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana) and SNMP-based monitoring including trap processing pipelines and agent configuration - preferred
- RHCSA certified; CKA or equivalent - preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive mindset toward automation, reliability, and continuous improvement
