Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented Software Developer to join our team and contribute significantly to the design, development, and maintenance of our Vision One Container Security offering. In this role, you will create robust solutions that secure containers throughout their lifecycle, influence architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and guide diverse co-op students and interns. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product managers, and other engineers, to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable solutions using best practices and industry standards.

  • Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.

  • Write non-application code, such as infrastructure as code, metrics, monitoring, alarms, etc., to ensure reliability and maintainability.

  • Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure code quality.

  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

  • Participate in on-call rotations to support and debug customer-reported issues as well as internally created service incidents.

  • Dedicate time to continuous learning and skill enhancement, exploring new technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of full-time professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend development.

  • Proven experience in developing applications on Kubernetes using Golang is essential.

  • At least two years of experience with AWS Cloud native application development, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages.

  • Experience with development of Infrastructure as code, tools such as terraform or similar.

  • Knowledge of large-scale, resilient microservice and event-driven architectures, and REST APIs.

  • Skilled in automated CI/CD pipelines.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing business priorities, with the ability to pivot quickly and effectively under shifting demands and tight deadlines.

  • Continuous learning mindset, with a passion for keeping up with industry trends and technologies.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively within a team based in Canada, while frequently collaborating with other teams spread across multiple time zones.

  • Experience with serverless architectures is beneficial.

  • Contributions to CNCF or other open-source projects are a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
