About North & Atlas:

North is Cohere's cutting-edge AI workspace platform, designed to revolutionize the way enterprises utilize AI. It offers a secure and customizable environment, allowing companies to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data. Atlas is a component within North powering the syncing of data from a variety of sources such as Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and more. Atlas ensures that North can reliably access and surface the most relevant information for our users from their own data.

As a Software Engineer on the team, you will:
  • Build and ship features into North, our AI workspace platform

  • Write robust integrations to reliably sync, parse, and index documents for downstream AI use

  • Implement efficient, secure logic that keeps user documents accurate and up to date

  • Collaborate across the North stack to deliver seamless user experiences when connecting to and interacting with data

  • Work closely with researchers to refine parsing strategies and techniques for the most effective agentic search outcomes

You may be a good fit if:
  • You have professional experience coding in Go

  • You have experience with database migrations, ETL pipelines, and transforming raw data into reliable, structured formats

  • You have built personal or professional projects using search, retrievals, or vector databases

  • You have strong coding abilities and are comfortable working across the stack.

  • You are excited by the challenge of securely connecting users to their most relevant data within North

  • (Nice to have) Experience with Kubernetes or React, enabling greater autonomy when shipping features across the stack

  • You’ve worked in both large enterprises and startups

  • You excel in fast-paced environments and can execute while priorities and objectives evolve

If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply!

We value and celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities.
