As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Workforce Technology Team, specifically as a part of the Employee Platforms Team, you will play a significant role in contributing to the improvement, design, optimization, and delivery of the Oracle HCM application of a SaaS product. Your role is crucial in ensuring a secure, stable, and scalable product that enhances the employee experience.
Job responsibilities
- Maintain business processes, including configuration documents, JIRA practices, and SR tracking.
- Consult and sustain HCM Benefits and Core HR as needed
- Gain experience with Oracle OTBI and HDL/HSDL.
- Provide clear and concise communication and respond in a timely manner.
- Ensure security and release processes are followed to reduce risk.
- Protect and ensure data privacy and compliance with regulations.
- Actively apply lessons learned to limit production defects and collaborate with Oracle on service requests.
- Review Oracle release notes in advance and conduct impact analysis.
- Meet design deliverables and deadlines with consistent follow-through and independent work.
- Complete functional testing of enhancements to minimize defects.
- Quickly problem-solve and identify root causes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Passionate about building an innovative culture.
- Strong experience in Oracle Benefits.
