As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX, or Home location in North Carolina. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

Candidates must have prior experience with:
· 5+ years of experience with JAVA, Microservices, OpenShift, Spring Boot, WebSphere, Apache, Windows Server, Linux server
o 5+ years of experience with IBM Financial Transaction Manager ( Java, Business rules and Service Frameworks)
o Experience with database/DB2, sql or oracle
· Experience with CI/CD tools (GIT, Jenkins, uDeploy)
· Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle)
· Strong debugging skills for Java/J2EE applications
· Experience in performance tuning, JVM profiling, capacity planning
· Experience with Jira
Desired Skills:

Experience with OpenShift Containers
Jira workflow
On-Call Experience
Problem Solving

Job Description

  • Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Facilitates complex problem resolution.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
