Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer (QA Automation Engineer) _ to join our Infomatics & Connected Worksite -CAT IT team.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in UI and API automation to join our dynamic Agile team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation testing, framework development, database testing, and a deep understanding of both manual and automated testing processes within an Agile environment.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore _PSN, Whitefield office and WTC , Chennai Office
What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Collaborate closely with development teams in an Agile setting to understand requirements, participate in sprint planning, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI and API to validate application functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Perform database testing to ensure data integrity and validate business logic.
• Actively participate in the full software development lifecycle, promoting and adhering to best practices in Agile testing methodologies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless test automation integration.
• Troubleshoot and debug test failures, collaborating effectively with developers to identify and resolve issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of the automation framework.
• Provide clear and concise test results, logs, and reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with manual testers to ensure thorough test coverage.
• Utilize JIRA or Azure DevOps for task management, bug tracking, and sprint planning.

What you will have

• Need Minimum of 6 years nad Maximum of 8years of Experience into Automation framework.
• Proven hands-on experience in UI and API automation testing.
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or Java.
• Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright (preferred) or Selenium.
• Hands-on experience with API automation tools such as Requests, Rest Assured, Postman, or JMeter.
• Hands-on experience with database testing (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Solid experience in automation framework development and maintenance.
• In-depth understanding of testing processes, both manual and automated, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with version control tools (Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong understanding and experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps for issue tracking and project management.
• 5 days work from office.
• Shift Timing: 01:00-10:00PM IST

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Oracle cloud platforms.
• Experience with performance testing tools.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Level Extensive Experience:• Conducts walkthroughs and monitors effectiveness and quality of the development activities.• Elaborates on multiple-development toolkits for traditional and web-based software.• Has participated in development of multiple or large software products.• Contrasts advantages and drawbacks of different development languages and tools.• Estimates and monitors development costs based on functional and technical requirements.• Provides consulting on both selection and utilization of developers' workbench tools.
