What you will do:
Design, develop, and optimize high-performance GPP 5G L1/L2 software modules. Preference is for candidates with Scheduler (L2) experience.
Collaborate with global teams on the full product development lifecycle.
Innovate solutions for 5G NR capabilities with a forward-looking eye toward 6G readiness.
Debug, test, and integrate features to meet stringent industry standards and operator requirements.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure best-practice implementations.
The skills you bring:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
Knowledge or experience in telecom software development with specialization in 4G/5G L1/L2, preferably on GPP (COTS) platforms.
Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems programming.
Some understanding of 3GPP 5G NR standards and protocols.
Some experience in multi-core, multi-threading programming, and performance optimization.
Experience in cloud-native and containerized network functions.
Knowledge of O-RAN and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with AI/ML applications in telecom.

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
• $69,000 - $90,300 CAD
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%.
