About the Role
Magna is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Engineer to join the New Mobility group. The Solutions Engineer will work closely with our Sales Team to build and close business by providing deep technical support for our manufacturing material handling solution focused on autonomous mobile robotics during sales calls and product demonstrations. You will work with our prospects and customers to assess their needs and address questions about AMR product functionality in discovery and roadmap calls and onsite visits. This role involves 10% to 30% travel.
Your Responsibilities

  • 10%-30% travel within a respective region on a scheduled or moment's notice, overnight travel will vary depending on location
  • Develop concept system designs to include robot counts, productivity estimates and description of operations.
  • Provide technical support and insight on discovery and roadmap calls.
  • Facilitate system demonstrations and site visits for prospects.
  • Perform data analysis to assess requirements.
  • Support the sales team in proposal development to include ROI and savings estimates.
  • Support implementations with customer's technical staff.
  • Provide technical context in competitive comparison calls.
  • Represent New Mobility in onsite customer visits.


Who we are looking for

  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in robotics, automotive, or aerospace industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects; requires good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing use cases and layouts.
  • Experience with manufacturing automation solutions.
  • Experience with MES and related logistics business software.


Your preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with autonomous robots and system limitations
  • Knowledge of MES integration a plus.
