Job Description:

The Sr. Analyst II, Cloud Cost is responsible for analyzing cloud spending and providing actionable insights for optimizing cloud resource usage.

  • Analyze cloud spending patterns to identify trends and areas for high impact cost reduction.
  • Generate detailed cost reports using AWS Cost Explorer and other cost management tools.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimizing cloud resource usage.
  • Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders within the enterprise on complex matters in the organization.
  • Monitor and report on cloud cost performance against budget and forecasts.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

Experience Required:

  • 6-8+ years of experience in cloud computing, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience with AWS Cost Explorer and other cloud cost management tools.

License/Certification Required:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner: Provides foundational knowledge of AWS cloud concepts and billing.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate: Demonstrates ability to design cost-efficient AWS solutions.
  • CompTIA Cloud+: Offers a vendor-neutral certification that covers cloud computing principles.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools. Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud cost management principles.
  • Skill in: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
