Overview
The GBS Capability Optimisation and Automation (GCOA) organisation is a strategic function focused on transforming finance operations through intelligent automation and AI. GCOA acts as a centralised capability hub, enabling scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that deliver measurable business value.
GCOA partners with finance and technology teams to:
- Identify automation opportunities.
- Design innovative solutions.
- Embed automation as a core enabler of operational excellence and digital transformation.
The Business Intelligence Developer role (P1-P3) is responsible for working on data projects as the finance organisation is putting a greater emphasis on data analysis. The role will be working collaboratively with other members of the team and provide expertise in building AI ready data models.
The individual will be a proactive and driven self-starter with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels and from a mixture of technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data models using modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and analytics goals.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Fabric/Databricks notebooks and PySpark for large-scale data transformation and processing across finance data domains.
- Deploy and operationalise analytical models and data pipelines, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and integrated into business workflows.
- Work closely with finance teams, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that meet operational and strategic needs.
- Design and implement intuitive Power BI reports and enhance with advanced analytics.
- Build and maintain datasets that integrate SAP and non-SAP financial data sources, enabling seamless access for reporting and analytics.
- Ensure metadata is accurately captured and maintained for lineage and governance.
- Write, test, and promote code through GitHub, following the team's environment-based release process from development through QA to production.
- Track, plan, and manage project work using Jira, ensuring visibility of progress, priorities, and dependencies across the team.
- Adhere to enterprise data standards and governance frameworks.
- Determines the appropriate method of data integration and methodology, analyses and interprets information gained and implements recommendations.
Experience
- 5+ years' experience in data modelling and schema design, preferably within Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms.
- 3+ years' experience building data pipelines using PySpark and notebooks (Databricks, Fabric, or similar), including both full and incremental load patterns.
- 5+ years' experience in developing, deploying and maintaining analytical models in production environments, including performance monitoring and model lifecycle management.
- 5+ years' experience in data visualization in Power BI.
- Skilled in leveraging DAX in Power BI, ensuring scalable and responsive Power BI reports across large datasets.
- Hands-on experience writing and deploying code using GitHub, including promoting changes through development, QA, and production environments as part of a structured release process.
- Experience using Jira for project and task tracking in an agile or structured delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of financial data structures and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with SAP S4, Ariba, and other finance-related data sources is a plus.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
€32,250 - €84,040Full-time equivalent employees may also be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
