What You’ll Be Doing

You'll be part of a dynamic, collaborative team with a heart for delivering value that exceeds expectations.  You’ll be responsible for building, managing and maintaining the non-production front end environment for our QA testing environment while providing ongoing support and maintenance to our lab environment. As a Sr. Technical Analyst, you will support multiple Lines of Business through the project lifecycle with their Desktop, VDI and Server build and support requirements.  You will also be engaged to consult with our partners as required to come up with thoughtful solutions to challenges.   

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. 

How You’ll Succeed

  • Subject Matter Expertise - You have experience troubleshooting and supporting Windows 7 and 10 desktop environments.  You are familiar with OSD for building desktops and VDIs.  A basic level understanding of GPOs, Active Directory, Networks is a nice to have.   While you’ve completed Technical training through Certification, Diploma or Degree programs, you also have previous experience working with the desktop environment.  An ability to adapt to changing environments and to learn is critical for success in this role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills -  You understand that clear, concise communication is essential in promoting  strong relationships.  You listen intently and are able to get to the root of an issue to resolve it quickly.  You understand how important it is to manage expectations through timely updates to your partners.  You are highly organized which comes through in your verbal and written communication.
  • Team Player - As a valued team member, you share knowledge, provide assistance and support the team through encouragement and participation.  You recognize that when it comes to project work everyone on that project is part of a team. 
  • Troubleshooting - You are often called upon to troubleshoot and consult on various issues.  As a result, you enjoy investigating, researching and monitoring to come up with proactive solutions.

Who you are 

  • You can demonstrate experience in Technical Troubleshooting--Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems. It is an asset if you have SCCM knowledge, Windows 10/11, TCP/IP, Microsoft Office 365, VM Ware/V-Sphere, Active Directory AGPM, GPO Admin, PowerShell.
