What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Management Information Systems, Business Administration and other related fields
• Experience in the financial services or consumer data industries, specifically credit data solutions, is a plus.
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries and Linux command line tools; a plus if you have experience with any combination of PowerBI, Apache Superset, Tableau, Ab Initio, Python and R
• Experience with Big Data technologies including Apache Hadoop, Spark and Hive
• Previous experience as backend applications developer with knowledge of building/querying databases is a plus
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud native data processing tools like Redshift, EMR and Snowflake is a plus
• Relevant experience working with big data, data management, and data performance
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong scenario analysis, tactical evaluation, and analytical and problem solving skills leading to practical business application and ability to work in an agile environment
• Proven leadership abilities and project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate analytical and statistical concepts and results for presentation at senior leadership level
• Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and drive initiatives to completion

Impact You'll Make:

The Data Performance team is part of TransUnion’s Data Strategy Business Unit and our key objectives are continuous improvement of the database and equipping internal areas and external customers with insights needed to gain maximum value from our core asset, credit data. TransUnion's data quality is monitored, measured, and reported on at all stages of the data’s lifecycle and trends and insights are published via data quality dashboards. In addition to daily monitoring and reporting activities, the Data Performance team also provides services to other TransUnion business groups, including: data analysis, data processing solutions, data matching & linking analyses, and product consulting/engineering for new and enhanced product offerings.

Some of the key functions you will focus on include:

• Monitoring – build capabilities to monitor various data elements and build real time visualization dashboards
• Data Performance Testing – leading advanced analyses of data and environment changes to provide business assurance and identify impact
• Data quality investigations and enhancements – investigating data anomalies identified from internal monitoring or direct customer inquiries and leading initiatives to address concerns and enhance quality
• Data Insights - identify valuable data sources and analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns, and propose solutions to business challenges
• Develop global data quality measures to report out in Dashboard to senior leadership
• Develop product & solution prototypes that enable TransUnion to serve new markets and grow beyond our core credit products
• Learn TransUnion’s core credit data as well as other alternate data assets TransUnion has licensed and provide subject matter expertise to projects requiring this data
• Attribute review – lead initiatives to define and create attributes for various customers
• Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
