Job Description:

Pluralsight is seeking a Sr. Creative Technologist to join the Content Strategy team and help shape the future of hands-on learning. In this role, you’ll design and build innovative learning experiences across multiple interactive platforms, with a strong emphasis on emerging technologies such as generative AI. You’ll blend research, software development, and instructional design to create learning experiences that are both technically rigorous and deeply engaging.

Who you’re committed to being:

You’re a curious, forward-thinking technologist who thrives at the intersection of learning, design, and engineering. You’re comfortable exploring ambiguity, experimenting with new technologies, and turning early-stage ideas into meaningful, usable experiences. You believe in the power of clear communication, collaboration, and thoughtful experimentation—and you inspire others to push beyond what currently exists in learning and development.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate closely with curriculum and content teams to design and prototype world-class, interactive learning experiences grounded in generative AI, instructional design, and user interface principles.

  • Research emerging and nascent technologies, rapidly distilling complex and ambiguous concepts into simple, useful, and delightful learning experiences.

  • Write software and build internal tools that support innovation across Pluralsight’s lab platforms, including Code, Desktop, and Cloud Labs.

  • Conduct open-ended research by designing experiments with large language models, writing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results.

  • Create clear, concise documentation—such as technical specifications, best practices guides, and presentations—to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Partner with engineering teams across Pluralsight to evolve prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions.

  • Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Deep experience designing or building educational technology, learning platforms, or interactive content.

  • A strong track record of translating complex technical concepts into accessible, engaging learning materials.

  • Hands-on experience experimenting with and applying emerging technologies, including generative AI and LLMs.

  • Familiarity with instructional design methodologies and learning science principles.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern development practices.

  • Comfort working in agile, collaborative environments and contributing to content strategy or curriculum development efforts.

  • A portfolio showcasing innovative technology projects, learning experiences, or custom learning environments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Education Technology, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in EdTech, learning platforms, or educational content development

  • Strong programming skills in multiple languages (Python, React, TypeScript, or similar)

  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible learning materials

  • Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative environments

  • Portfolio demonstrating innovative technology projects, learning experiences or custom learning environments

  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. This approach enables more effective collaboration, quicker decision-making, and a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.

Why you’ll love working here:

  • We’re a blended workplace, where team members work remotely or in a hybrid setup depending on their role and location

  • We’re mission driven and guided by our culture pillars

  • We have a strong commitment to diversity and belonging

  • We cultivate a culture of trust, autonomy, and collaboration

  • We’re lifelong learners and champion team member growth and advancement
