Meet Domaine, the world's largest independent Shopify design and development partner, formed by the union of Half Helix and Tomorrow. We are a team of commerce experts dedicated to creating, building, and growing beloved brands. As pioneers and not just participants in our industry, we are inspired to write, break, and re-write the rules for a new generation of commerce.
Having launched over 300 sites on Shopify, we're proud to be a trusted long-term growth partner for some of the most prominent brands in ecommerce, spanning all industries and verticals.

We’re seeking a Senior Analytics & Measurement Strategist to support and scale Domaine’s analytics and measurement practice. This role partners closely with Strategy, CRO, CRM, Engineering, and Client teams to ensure analytics implementations are not only technically sound, but strategically designed to support business decision-making.

This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone deeply fluent in ecommerce analytics, tagging, and data architecture—particularly across GA4 and Google Tag Manager—who can think holistically about what should be tracked, how data should be structured, and how insights should be activated across enterprise, omnichannel commerce organizations.

You’ll operate as a trusted analytics advisor to both internal teams and clients, balancing technical rigor with clear communication and strong client presence.

Remote-First Work Environment

This is a remote-first role, aligned to U.S. working hours. We value flexibility, autonomy, and accountability—focused on outcomes, not location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analytics Strategy & Measurement Design
  • Own analytics strategy for ecommerce clients, with a focus on enterprise-level measurement frameworks across web, app, and supporting channels
  • Partner closely with Strategy, CRO, and CRM teams to define analytics approaches that support acquisition, retention, and customer lifecycle measurement
  • Design scalable tracking plans aligned to business objectives, KPIs, and customer journeys
  • Translate business and marketing questions into clear measurement requirements and data structures
  • Ensure analytics strategies support omnichannel Shopify-based brands with complex ecosystems and multiple data sources
Tagging, Tracking & Technical Implementation
  • Lead implementation and governance of analytics tracking using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  • Partner with Technology and Engineering teams to support analytics implementation, enhancements, and long-term scalability
  • Leverage Elevar to support ecommerce event tracking, auditing, and optimization across Shopify implementations
  • Audit, debug, and improve existing tracking setups to ensure data accuracy, attribution integrity, and reporting reliability
  • Establish best practices for analytics documentation, QA processes, and ongoing tracking governance
  • Ensure analytics implementations align to Shopify ecommerce architecture, including core commerce events, custom events, and third-party integrations
Reporting, Dashboards & Insights
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards that deliver clear, actionable insights, not just surface-level metrics
  • Utilize SQL, BigQuery, and Python to support scalable analysis, data modeling, and reporting workflows
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure reporting supports both day-to-day optimization and executive decision-making
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and performance opportunities and translate them into clear, strategic narratives
Client Partnership & Agency Collaboration
  • Act as a senior analytics partner to clients, bringing strong communication skills and thoughtful “bedside manner”
  • Confidently explain analytics strategies, tracking approaches, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate within an agency environment, working cross-functionally with Strategy, CRO, CRM, Engineering, and Delivery teams
  • Support pre-sales efforts through analytics audits, measurement assessments, and opportunity sizing
Internal Enablement & Thought Leadership
  • Help define and evolve Domaine’s analytics standards, frameworks, and best practices
  • Support internal education around analytics strategy, measurement planning, and data-informed decision-making
  • Stay current on analytics platform updates, privacy changes, and evolving ecommerce measurement approaches
SKILLSRequired
  • Deep expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  • Strong experience designing and implementing ecommerce analytics strategies for Shopify-based brands
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify ecommerce implementations, including analytics, tagging, and data validation
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with experience querying large datasets in BigQuery
  • Working knowledge of Python for analysis, automation, or data transformation
  • Experience building dashboards and performance reporting for ecommerce stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically about measurement, not just technical implementation
  • Experience working in an agency environment with multiple clients and priorities
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Tealium, or other enterprise analytics and CDP platforms
  • Experience supporting large, omnichannel or enterprise-scale ecommerce organizations
  • Exposure to privacy-forward measurement, consent frameworks, or advanced data warehousing
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Strategically minded analyst who understands how data enables better business decisions
  • Technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex data ecosystems
  • Clear communicator with strong client presence and collaborative instincts
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping teams find clarity through data
  • Curious, proactive, and motivated to help build and mature a best-in-class analytics practice
