Job Purpose
Responsible for supporting the accurate distribution of rates, promotions, packages, and other hotel information across the Best Western family of brands worldwide. This role maintains the integrity of complex hotel and chain-level data, processes member and internal requests, and helps ensure information is accurately reflected across systems.
Key Responsibilities
Loads and updates rates and other hotel data by entering information into proprietary company systems. Maintains the accuracy of information with attention to detail and problem-solving skills, in an efficient manner to maintain Service Level Adherence targets as defined by the company. Coordinates data uploads and ensures the consistency and accuracy of data. Reviews data for compliance with defined parameters based on information in job guides. Provides expertise by troubleshooting and solving database problems on behalf of members and agency groups by both independent efforts and collaboratively with internal departments. Recommends alternative solutions when necessary. Contributes to team effort by communicating with peers, other departments, travel agents or property owners/management. Participates in special projects as assigned.
- Enters and maintains complex and/or coded business data across various databases. Maps and submits information into appropriate systems and programs.
- Maintains database integrity by gathering current information from relevant parties and resources. Coordinates data uploads and ensures consistency and accuracy across systems.
- Reviews data for compliance with defined parameters and recommends corrective actions when necessary.
- Troubleshoots and resolves database issues independently and in collaboration with internal departments and external vendors. Provides database expertise and support to members and agency groups.
- Coordinates and enhances automation processes in partnership with internal departments, adapting to new developments and system capabilities.
- Queries data and prepares final documents and forms tailored to client needs. Assists in analyzing, evaluating, and executing document development and delivery.
- Communicates with internal departments, travel agents, and property owners/management to support cross-functional initiatives and resolve database-related customer service issues.
- Participates in special projects as assigned.
Preferred Experience and Education
- Minimum 2 years working in a position requiring logical thinking, problem solving, or troubleshooting preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent certification.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review, verify, and maintain data integrity.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine and moderately complex issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with internal departments, hotel owners, general managers, and other external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision, follow established procedures, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Strong computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and other business systems.
- Knowledge of hospitality systems, including Lynx and/or CPM, preferred.
- Ability to identify data anomalies, investigate discrepancies, and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Ability to interpret requests, gather relevant information, and provide accurate and timely support to internal and external customers.
- Ability to manipulate, format, and compare data against established standards and business requirements.
- Must be able to use a keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time.
Work Location and Schedule
This is a hybrid position, requiring onsite presence Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at our Global Operations Center, with the option to work remote on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This hybrid model fosters intentional collaboration, teamwork, connection, and productivity, while still providing flexibility and work life balance. The office address is 20400 N 29th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85027.
