About the role .
The Senior Financial Analyst, NA FP&A will play a key role in partnering with multiple Finance functions (Sales Finance, Marketing Finance, Integrated Supply Chain Finance, Manufacturing Finance and Revenue Management) to profitably grow the Potato business. The position will help drive value creation with our customers through financial review of pricing, trade and other initiatives as well as support the assessment of innovation. This position reports to the Manager, FP&A NA Potato and will be involved in a variety of business activities within North American Finance.
The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will have strong financial analysis and accounting skills. Responsibilities will include the assembly and analysis of financial data supporting the planning and decision-making processes that ensure profitability and sustainability of McCain Foods. This position identifies opportunities and risks and compares results to relative benchmarks. This position works collaboratively with others, institutes best practices, and challenges the acceptance of status quo demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.

Compensation Package : $81,600.00 - $108,900.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.

What you'll be doing .
- Collaborate with key financial and functional stakeholders to facilitate timely and accurate forecasts and drive profitable growth and decision-making for the Potato business.
- Develop and implement various financial analyses including, but not limited to: product/mix profitability, operating income bridges and drivers, trend reporting and volume analysis
- Responsible for creating multiple presentations for Senior Finance Leadership, including mid-month forecast reviews, month end financial reviews for NA and Global Finance and Quarterly Business Reviews
- Ensure the accuracy in assumptions, data and understanding of risks and opportunities while preparing quarterly forecasts & annual budget for the NA Potato business.
- Enhance quarterly and month-end analysis and value-added reporting to highlight operational drivers and support management decision making.
- Support the finance digital transformation, developing and enhancing automated reporting in Power BI.
- Provide support and financial analysis on ad hoc projects as needed.
What you'll need to be successful .
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or MBA a plus
- 3+ years of progressive and related experience in financial analysis, financial planning, or accounting.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Business acumen: can explain the story behind the numbers and recommend solutions.
- Ability to apply broad business perspectives and experiences to identify opportunities & risks.
- Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented, hands-on, highly motivated, and autonomous.
- Experience with CPG or other food manufacturing companies strongly preferred.
