Do you want to use data to help drive the direction of products that impacts top DTC brands? If yes, we want to talk to you. We're looking for a Sr Manager of Data Analytics and Engineering to join our Data team. This person will manage a team of analytics engineers/data analysts, while working closely with product managers, and software engineers to support data product launches and data roadmaps.
The ideal candidate will have data infrastructure and data architecture skills, a proven track record of leading and scaling data teams, operational skills to drive efficiency and speed, project management leadership, and a vision for how data can proactively improve companies.
What you'll do:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analytics engineers (BI and data warehousing), fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Build and drive the vision of data as a product across company verticals (finance, sales, operations, etc.)
- Translate high-level business goals into actionable team objectives and individual contributions
- Scale our data technology stack by managing data sets into our data warehouse, creating meaningful data transformations, and making data available in our BI tool
- Drive data quality across the product vertical and related business areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs and serve as a bridge between senior leadership and the team, ensuring alignment on priorities and organizational vision
- Standardize the team’s operations (e.g. workflows, documentation) and improve key team metrics (e.g. data quality, stakeholder satisfaction)
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in BI and data warehousing using the modern data stack
- 3+ years of experience managing a data team, demonstrating strong decision-making capabilities that balance the needs of the business and the team
- Advanced technical expertise in SQL, Python, data modeling, and building dashboards
- Ability to partner closely with stakeholders to define and execute a strategic roadmap for technical initiatives
- Strong communication and organization skills, with experience leading multiple projects simultaneously and balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic initiatives
- Is proactive and possesses high degrees of ownership; able to astutely identify opportunities for improvement, drive new processes, and rally the team to problem solve together
