Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting high-quality software solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a featured service owner, work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, UX designers, and other engineers, to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.

  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain robust and scalable solutions on Trend Vision One™ Platform Cyber Risk Exposure Management across AWS/Azure.

  • Collaborate with other developers on data platform for data transform tuning, algorithm adjustment, API stability and performance enhancements.

  • Participate in on-call rotations to support and debug customer-reported issues as well as internally created service incidents.

  • Keep learning and do continuous improvement, with opportunities to learn and teach skills across teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related fields AND 2+ years experience in cloud native backend solution development OR equivalent experience.

  • Deep understanding on Kubernates system.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java, Python and Go.

  • Good experience with large-scale, resilient microservice and event-driven architectures, and REST API development.

  • Good Experience with DevSecOps including automated CI/CD pipelines, infra as code, security enforcement and production observability.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Continuous learning mindset, with a passion for keeping up with industry trending and technologies.

  • Customer oriented and proactive in helping customers solve their needs quickly and completely.

For applicants in the province of Ontario: Trend Micro Canada is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary for this role is CAD $105,000.00 - $130,000.00. A candidate’s final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors to include, but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
