49 Solutions is seeking a talented User Researcher/Designer to join our team in support of Shared Services Canada (SSC). In this role, you will conduct user research and design user-centered solutions that enhance the overall user experience. Your expertise will be critical in understanding user needs, translating them into actionable insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create effective and engaging product designs. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights on user needs and behaviors.
  • Analyze research findings and present them to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes to guide design and development.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure user-centered design principles are incorporated into projects.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and research results to continuously improve user experiences.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in user experience design and research.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in user research and design.
  • Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Experience with usability testing, A/B testing, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively share research findings and design concepts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices in user experience design.
  • Federal Government experience is an asset.
  • Must possess a Secret Security Clearance.
