We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Are you looking to join a rapidly-growing company and assist with establishing accounting procedures that will help us scale? What you will do:
- Prepare, process and reconcile research respondent payments daily including credit card transactions
- Analyze and assist in resolving both research respondent and employee inquiries regarding payments
- Prepare, audit, and analyze research respondent payments in spreadsheets &/or databases for upload
- Effectively manage and complete standard reconciliation procedures
- Support the month-end close process
- Assist with annual audit requests: prepare/provide necessary supporting documents
- Provide additional support for the finance department, including administration, financial analyses, monthly financial metrics, and preparation of reports for financial reviews
- Help build better systems and processes to make us more efficient, and document these processes and procedures
- Collaborate and support the sales and customer experience teams
- Become cross-trained in other areas of the finance team’s work
What you need to have:
- 1-2 years experience at a public accounting firm or alternatively 2 years industry experience as an Accountant, preferably with specific exposure to SaaS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Understanding of a P&L, balance sheet, recognizing debits/credits, accruals, and other accounting basics
- Incredible detail orientation, strong organizational skills, and an analytical mind
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness
- Upstanding character with high integrity
- Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Paypal, Braintree, Ramp or similar systems is a plus
