This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their accounting career looking for stability, a strong benefits package, and on-the-job support while working toward a CPA designation or for someone experienced in full-cycle accounting who enjoys staying hands-on in a collaborative, mid-size team environment.

Your contributions to the team:

  • Manage the maintenance of fiscal records and prepare monthly financial reports, including property accounting and bank reconciliations. 
  • Lead the completion of complex calculations and intricate financial transactions to ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
  • Ensure all business transactions, accruals, adjustments, and account reconciliations are completed in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and year-end financial statements, including all routine working papers and cost statements.
  • Review budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing actual-to-budget report variances and communicating status updates to regional teams.
  • Maintain and update the Policies and Procedures Manual for both routine and complex accounting transactions.
  • Build strong rapport with internal staff and Regional Managers to ensure all transactions accurately reflect the organization’s operations.
  • Remain current with all regulations, tax laws, and industry trends to understand their impact on the organization’s financial statements.

What you need to be successful:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred; however, an equivalent combination of education and full-cycle accounting experience will be considered.
  • A high level of personal integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-identification and resolution skills with a logical approach to analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a general understanding of computerized accounting systems or ERPs.
  • An interest in or active pursuit of a CPA designation is a strong asset.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet defined deadlines while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
