Lime is the largest global shared micromobility business, operating in close to 30 countries across five continents. We’re on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. Our electric bikes and scooters have powered more than one billion rides in cities around the world. Named a 2025 Time 100 Most Influential Company, Lime continues to set the pace for shared micromobility globally, spurring a new generation of clean alternatives to car ownership.

Lime is building out a new product vertical, Lime for Business, dedicated to helping companies around the world reimagine employee transportation. We offer safe, efficient, and eco-friendly mobility solutions, empowering organizations to reduce commute times, enhance employee satisfaction, and advance their sustainability goals.

Our tailored programs support daily business travel, corporate campus mobility, and subsidized commuting. Our goal is to help companies drive positive environmental impact while improving the way their workforce moves every day. We’re just getting started and are building the team that will scale this business globally.

As the founding Staff Analytics Engineer for Lime for Business, you will define and lead the analytics architecture that powers this new product vertical. You will own the design of the business data warehouse, semantic layer, and metric foundations that enable reliable reporting, experimentation, financial tracking, and operational insights.

This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, and Operations. You will set the technical standards for analytics engineering within Lime for Business — ensuring scalability, data integrity, governance, and performance as we grow.

You will operate as a technical leader, influencing long-term architecture decisions while mentoring other engineers and fostering a culture of high craftsmanship, documentation, and data quality excellence.

This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in Canada to maintain effective collaboration across teams.

What You’ll Do:

Own the Analytics Architecture

  • Design and implement the long-term technical vision for Lime for Business’ data warehouse and semantic layer.

  • Translate complex business concepts (e.g., employer subsidies, commuter utilization, B2B revenue recognition, trip profitability) into scalable, well-tested data models.

  • Establish modeling standards using dbt to ensure consistency, reusability, and performance.

Partner Cross-Functionally

  • Collaborate with General Manager, Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Operations, Finance, and Accounting to translate business requirements into trusted data products.

  • Serve as a thought partner on metric definitions, experimentation design, and KPI tracking.

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing data infrastructure and proactively drive implementation of better solutions.

Drive Analytics Engineering Excellence

  • Lead development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt.

  • Define best practices for SQL style, modular modeling, CI/CD workflows, and automated data testing.

  • Ensure high standards of documentation, observability, and auditability across all data assets.

Strengthen Data Governance & Quality

  • Implement automated data validation and monitoring frameworks.

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure reporting pipelines support month-end close and external audit readiness.

  • Maintain integrity and reliability of business-critical metrics.

About You:

  • 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture roles.

  • Deep expertise with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow in production environments.

  • Strong experience designing scalable data models and semantic layers for business reporting.

  • Proven track record leading large technical domains and setting architectural direction.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience implementing automated data testing and CI/CD workflows.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, including Director/VP-level partners.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting B2B, marketplace, or mobility-related business models.

  • Experience designing systems that support financial reporting or governed analytics environments.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build from zero to one.

  • Passion for safety, sustainability, urban mobility, and innovative transportation solutions.

  • Empathetic communicator who listens deeply and builds solutions tailored to business needs.

The base salary range listed reflects what Lime reasonably expects to offer for this role, with the final base salary determined by objective factors such as the candidate’s location and relevant skills and experience. Depending on the position, the total compensation package may also include discretionary annual performance bonus opportunities and equity, subject to applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.
