You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle management of enterprise Kubernetes platforms. This role is ideal for someone with deep Kubernetes expertise who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges in distributed and regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (upstream, RKE2) in edge environments.
- Support Rancher Gov stack for multi-cluster management, including policy enforcement and compliance.
- Implement GitOps automation with Fleet and ArgoCD to ensure consistent, auditable, and automated operations.
- Manage OCI bundle orchestration for packaging and distributing workloads in connected and air-gapped settings.

- Implement security and network segmentation best practices across clusters.
- Contribute to upgrade strategies for clusters and workloads, ensuring stability and security.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and drive root-cause analysis to improve reliability.
- Document configurations, processes, and best practices for operational consistency.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (upstream/RKE2) and cluster management.
- Experience with Rancher Gov stack for multi-cluster operations.
- Proven ability to implement GitOps workflows using Fleet and/or ArgoCD.
- Solid understanding of OCI bundles, Helm, and automated orchestration pipelines.
- Background in containerization (Docker), Linux systems, and cloud-native CI/CD pipelines.
- Good grasp of security, networking, and segmentation principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with edge or air-gapped deployments.
- Familiarity with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK).
- Contributions to Kubernetes or GitOps open-source projects.
