Who Should Join?

We’re looking for engineers who are:

Typical Roles & Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance mobile applications

  • Own and optimize mobile performance, security, and reliability

  • Lead efforts in mobile API integrations, cloud storage solutions, and data synchronization

  • Work with backend teams to create efficient REST, GraphQL, and WebSocket APIs

  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, establishing best practices for mobile development

  • Define and maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and release processes

  • Research and integrate emerging mobile technologies to keep applications cutting-edge

Common Qualifications

While each startup has its own hiring criteria, many staff mobile engineering roles in our network look for:

  • 6+ years of experience in mobile development for iOS and/or Android

  • Deep expertise in Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android) for native app development

  • Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native, Flutter, or MAUI

  • Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles, animations, and accessibility

  • Familiarity with state management libraries (Jetpack Compose, SwiftUI, Redux, MobX)

  • Hands-on experience integrating cloud services (Firebase, AWS, GCP) and local databases (Core Data, Room, Realm, SQLite)

  • Proficiency in mobile security best practices, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and encryption techniques

  • Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks (XCTest, Espresso, Detox, Cypress)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile deployment tools (Fastlane, Bitrise, App Store Connect, Google Play Console)

  • Proven leadership in technical strategy, architecture, and mentoring engineers
