Role Description

As a Staff Product Manager in the Growth organization, you will lead your cross functional team (engineering, design, data science, research, marketing) to inflect Dropbox growth across our evolving product portfolio, as we expand beyond our $2B core file storage and sync business.

As a Staff member of the product team, you will contribute directly to the company strategy and be responsible influencing revenue driving metrics. You will have the responsibility to engage with executives across the company to ensure alignment between our platform, experiences, and growth teams. You will own high visibility initiatives that drive company’s long-term strategy and roadmap for new growth directions. The role requires a mix of analytical horsepower, relentless execution, and well-honed customer understanding and judgment. You will execute projects with engineers, designers, analysts and marketers in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for delivering best in class experiences to help our users activate and onboard into Dropbox’s product offerings, driving both user and business wins.

Responsibilities
  • Define and evangelize Dropbox’s expansion vision, focusing on upsells, upgrade paths, and ecosystem channels that grow customer value.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, analytics, marketing, sales, and partners to deliver impactful growth initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across Dropbox and our ecosystem to align strategies, explore distribution opportunities, and manage trade-offs with clarity and influence.
  • Deeply understand the Dropbox customer, uncovering needs and opportunities through research, data, and competitive insights to drive expansion.
  • Own features and experiments end-to-end, from specs and execution to thoughtful decisions and sharing learnings.
  • Evolve Dropbox’s growth engine, improving expansion funnels, engagement loops, and ecosystem-driven flywheels.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience delivering highly successful and innovative software products.
  • High product craft and technical acumen; expert in balancing user and business impact.
  • Shipped creative and highly successful self-serve products in B2B or consumer tech; involved in end-to-end product process from conceptualizing, building, shipping and scaling products on web, desktop, or mobile clients.
  • Comfort in ambiguity: You can turn ambiguous problems and big ideas into a roadmap of features, experiments, and research with minimal guidance.
  • Deeply understand how your products work and how to measure short- and long-term success. You know every step of the user funnel. You can design, run, and interpret experiments and A/B tests.
  • Build a portfolio of experiments and multi-cycle strategy. You are as comfortable white boarding a completely new experience as you are optimizing an existing flow.
  • Build consensus and listen well, but can also drive hard decisions. You push the pace. You take blame and pass the praise.
  • Excels at communicating with team, partners, and executives with clarity, salience, and urgency. Proactively managing upwards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with building subscription based products
  • Experience with churn tactics and mitigations
  • Leading growth & expansion tactics
  • Experience with ecosystem integrations
  • Driving an International expansion strategy
