As the most trusted global leader in data-first contract lifecycle management (CLM) software, Agiloft helps organizations manage the end-to-end process of proposing, negotiating, signing, and leveraging contracts using our flexible Data-first Agreement Platform (DAP). With contract data as the foundation, customers quickly and collaboratively reach agreement and leverage contract visibility to thrive with competitive advantage. Employing powerful, pragmatic artificial intelligence as a legal force multiplier, and robust integration capabilities as a data liberator, organizations around the world trust Agiloft’s certified implementers to deliver connected, intelligent, and autonomous solutions across the entire contract lifecycle.

Top analysts like Gartner, Forrester, and IDC agree, all showing Agiloft as a leader in the CLM space. Our no code platform is easily managed and administered by business users, which is why Agiloft is the contract you keep: nearly a full 100% of new customers are satisfied with their initial implementations, and some 97% of customers renew every year. Ours is a growing, vibrant, successful company that is at the forefront of a market that is becoming a must-have for all organizations.

We believe that the way to build the strongest, most vibrant place to work is to bring in individuals from all walks of life, and to support them in bringing their authentic selves to their day, every day. Our working philosophy is that “EX = CX”: when employee experience is excellent, so is customer experience. We support multiple Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and offer a working environment that supports healthy work/life balance, including floating holidays and a quarterly, no-questions-asked wellness day.

Position Overview

Engineers at Agiloft design, build, and deploy products designed to fundamentally change how contracts are created, reviewed, negotiated, and stored. You’ll be working with a team of experienced entrepreneurs, engineers, data scientists, designers, and legal subject matter experts to build cutting-edge innovations for afast-growing scale-up company.

Things we’ve built so far:
1. A global, enterprise-scale serverless platform on AWS, deployable on demand.
2. A suite of LLM-powered applications, employing thoughtful queuing and load balancing in order to manage LLM capacity at scale.
3. An API-first development culture, with a backend serving a growing number of frontend clients.

This role will lead the design and implementation of systems that extend the core Agiloft platform into a new generation of contract review and collaboration experiences. You’ll build high-leverage connective tissue that allows emerging
products and services to plug into the platform as first-class citizens. You’ll shape how data, workflows, and intelligence flow across systems, enabling seamless end- to-end contract experiences while setting technical patterns that make future expansion fast, elegant, and scalable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of core platform features using Python and an API-first approach
  • Build scalable, reliable backend services that power our applications, integrating seamlessly with a modern cloud-based architecture
  • Implement front-end features and help manage a growing React project in TypeScript
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to ensure that what we’re building is scalable, maintainable, and secure
  • Contribute to infrastructure and deployment workflows in our AWS serverless environment (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
  • Independently lead proof-of-concept projects and tackle complex architectural and engineering challenges
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions, raising the overall quality and effectiveness of the team
  •  Drive architectural decision-making that enables smooth integrations, data flow, and platform extensibility
  • Assess and adopt new technologies and frameworks when they add clear business or technical value
  • Define and maintain engineering standards and best practices across backend, frontend, and cloud systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of professional experience as a software engineer
  • Strong experience building backend services and APIs using Python in a product-focused environment
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services, particularly within a serverless architecture
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, observability tools, and cloud-native best practices
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership over the systems you build
  • Collaborative, low-ego team player who thrives in cross-functional settings
  • Creative and pragmatic problem solver with a mindset for building scalable, maintainable system
  • Extensive experience with the development of frontend applications, backend interfaces, and the integration in a SaaS architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence technical decisions across teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using relevant AI Tools in the SLDC (for example, GitHub Copilot, JetBrains AI Assistant) coding, and/or API integrations
