Job Responsibilities:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Install and maintain pressure system of piping• Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings• Prepare own layouts• Fabricate and weld valve bank frames and other welding requirements• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components and water systems• Operate various machine tools and equipment• Carry out special projects• Anticipate and solve problems• Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy.• Consult your Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor if you are not 100% sure of how to perform tasks in a safe manner.• Follow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areas.• Know what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properly.• Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products.• Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous Improvements.• Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world-class quality products are supplied to our customers.• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive assembly / tooling or assembly systems
CORE COMPETENCIES:• Must be able to use hand tools, (hand benders, power threaders, hydraulic hose grimpers etc.)• Some machining skills (lathe, milling machines, drill press, surface grinders etc.)• Ability to read/interpret blue prints accurately as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics• Knowledge of lubrication systems and air compressors• Understand precision equipment such as pumps, hydraulic motors, CNC boring mills, and other shop equipment• Knowledge of adhesive glue systems• Ability to work as a team member and individually• Ability to manage multiple tasks within the trade• Must have own tools• Good communication skills• Good mathematical skills
