DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop and apply advanced statistical and mathematical models to analyze complex data trends and patterns using programming tools and data analysis software languages, such as SAS, R, Python, or SQL, to perform data collection, organization, interpretation, and summarization tasks. Generate analytical insights and develop statistical solutions that streamline business processes, uncover new opportunities, and bolster strategic decision-making. Conduct thorough research on market trends and perform detailed analysis of internal data. Utilize findings to craft actionable insights, guiding the strategic direction of the organization and identifying potential areas for product innovation and growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, business, and technology departments to implement data-driven strategies, supporting the creation and refinement of analytical models and algorithms that drive customer growth, improve engagement, and boost efficiency. Effectively document and communicate complex technical and analytical results in a clear, concise manner tailored for a non-technical audience, ensuring insights are accessible and actionable for decision-makers and senior management. Own and manage the critical monthly reporting of KPI, highlighting any anomalies in trend for senior leadership. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or in a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Scientist, Biostatistician, Statisticians, or in a related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Working with MySQL and Oracle database systems; Advanced-level database querying using SQL; Data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) procedures; Working in machine learning scripting languages, including Python and R, and experience developing predictive models and utilizing ML algorithms such as logistic regressions, KNN, random forest, or Gradient boosting for classification problems; Working with big data, and processing environments; Statistical concepts for data analysis, including normal distribution and other statistical distributions; Sample data to derive inference; Design and develop analytical solutions, backed by strong data analysis skills in SAS and other statistical software, to support business operations; Statistical analysis and analytical software tools; and Key business metrics, automating reports, and managing analytical models.
Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
