Job Responsibilities:
  • Salary: Starting at $22.00 per hour
  • Immediate, open position

Support the Finance & Controlling team with accurate, timely, and well-documented financial processing, reporting, and analysis for Magna IT. The student will assist with month-end activities, project cost tracking, controls documentation, and ad-hoc analysis while developing hands-on skills with ERP, BI, and collaboration tools.
Your Responsibilities
  • Assist with report preparation, perform basic variance analysis, and support intercompany reconciliations
  • Review and summarize key observations of AP/AR balances and aging
  • Support cost center and project reporting, monitor IT project financials (time tracking, POs), and assist in allocation model updates and intercompany charge reconciliation
  • Prepare data templates, update dashboards, and draft presentations containing relevant KPIs and financial insights
  • Perform data cleanup and maintain organized/accurate SharePoint folders and version control
  • Assist with document preparation, respond to ad-hoc data or analysis requests. Contribute to additional finance, reporting, analysis, or operational tasks as assigned to support evolving team needs

Who we are looking for
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Attentive to detail, with strong time management skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Pronounced affinity for numbers and analytical way of thinking
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner due to access to information of a sensitive nature
