How You Will Contribute:
We are seeking for a motivated Fresh Grad or early in career candidate interested in growing his/her career as a Software/Product Verification Test Engineer. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering world-class networking technologies. You’ll be a hands-on leader - testing, validating, and automating features and solutions that redefine the industry. From creating test plans to troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, you’ll ensure our products exceed customer expectations. Your expertise will influence the future of EVPN, Segment Routing, MPLS, Multicast, and virtualized network devices.
You’ll collaborate across teams, drive end-to-end solution testing, and champion quality at every stage. Automation will be your superpower as you design and implement scalable testing frameworks to accelerate product excellence.
The Must Haves:
Python coding experience is a must.
TCL automation experience is a plus.
Working knowledge with networking devices and tools such as routers, switches, servers, traffic generators (Ixia, TRex).
Background or experience with networking protocols – TCP-IP, L2/L3, etc.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
The Assets:
Experience with Bitbucket, GitHub, and code-commit process are pluses.
Team-player but able to work independently.
Pay Range:
The annual pay range for this position is $64,100 - $102,300
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission. In addition to competitive compensation, Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, participation in 401(K) (USA) & DCPP (Canada) with company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company-paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
