Job Description

Our Advanced Vetronics Systems team is currently hiring for a Systems Engineering Analyst. This multi-disciplinary team develops electronics systems for armored tactical vehicles. These systems include in-vehicle video management, smart displays, fire control, ballistics computing, and vehicle control. We develop products in-house, including the mechanical systems, power supplies, circuit boards, optics, FPGAs and software.

Your primary tasks will be too manage requirements from concept to validation verification stages for new products. You will play a key role in running system technical review boards and work closely with Integrated Product Teams and collaborate with customers and end users.

They Systems Engineering Analyst will be responsible

  • Prepare requirements documents and specifications, provide analysis
  • Develop, document, and review system designs and use cases, define system interfaces, and conduct analyses
  • Problem solve to understand the cause and effect in complex systems
  • Investigate system defects and raise problem reports
  • Develop Integration and Test Plans and Procedures, including configuration descriptions and expected outcomes.
  • Build, configure, and validate test environments.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating test activities
  • Conduct tests in the lab, collaborate with other product and engineering teams
  • Execute formal and informal test procedures, gather appropriate measures and data, analyze and interpret test data, and prepare test reports
  • Identify, investigate and document defects, and verify solutions
  • Manage requirement mapping to automated and manual test cases
  • Participate in an interdisciplinary team environment, share knowledge and present ideas to colleagues
  • Expand knowledge of latest technologies, products and market trends relevant to area of work, utilize AI/ML models 
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Relevant systems engineering experience with complex electronic systems, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable experience
  • Requirements development and system design
  • Requirements management tools
  • Systems Engineering processes and tools
  • Supporting System Integration and System Verification
  • Understanding of Software and Systems Engineering principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct analysis leading to sound conclusions
  • Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn, and takes pride and ownership of work
  • Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models 

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.

Additional Information

The hiring range for this position is $ 95,000-$110,000. Our goal is to provide a fair and competitive offer based on an assessment of internal equity and your qualifications, including:
