Job Summary

The Systems Administrator II oversees the day-to-day operations of the Mena facility (and Ft. Smith facility as needed). Manages the upgrades, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company’s computer systems, including database, mainframe systems, data communication networks and software programs. Performs assessments on company systems to ensure proper operations and to identify issues that need to be addressed. Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Office software support
  • Office hardware support (PC’s, printers, phones)
  • IT asset management
  • Shop Machinery software/hardware support
  • Manage IT budget
  • IT Infrastructure (servers, network, cabling)
  • Employee account maintenance
  • Technical project support (surveillance, systems upgrade)
  • Execute all IT policies and procedures to maintain compliance
  • Oversee efficient working of all IT personnel
  • Coordinate system changes and upgrades with Nidec Corporate IT
  • Perform other duties as assigned

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • System Experiences such as Oracle, Workday, Citirx and SharePoint
  • General user knowledge of ServiceNow IT Service Desk
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft O365
  • Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of networking principles and cabling standards
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server
  • Working knowledge of desktop imaging

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or related field or 3-5 years’ experience in Information Technology
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented setting
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more experience in Information Technology
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Previous employment in manufacturing
