We are currently hiring a contract Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our team in TorontoThis is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension or permanency.  The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for creating a great candidate experience, screening, interviewing and the selecting top talent for Spectrum Health Care. If you are a new grad in the field of HR, this position is for you!

Job Description

  • Manage active candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide best in class candidate experience from the first contact to onboarding 
  • Review resumes, phone screen and interview candidates, conduct reference checks, collect documentation, and schedule for orientation
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships internally to understand current and future workforce needs
  • Be an ambassador of our brand to improve our employer brand strategy around hiring and retention 
  • Manage active candidates throughout the recruitment process through effective communication to ensure a positive candidate experience,
  • Source both active and passive candidates with the intent on identifying, connecting, and recruiting the best talent

Qualifications

  • 1+ years’ experience in high volume talent acquisition role
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset 
  • Basic understanding of the recruitment lifecycle and hiring best practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and eagerness to learn
  • In office role in Toronto (Bloor/Yonge) office 
  • Annual salary range ($48,000 - $50,000)
