About the Role

At CLV Group, we believe great people build great communities. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play an important role in attracting and hiring the exceptional talent that drives our continued growth and success.

This role goes well beyond posting jobs and coordinating interviews. You will learn our business, anticipate what it needs next and build proactive recruitment strategies and talent pipelines that give CLV a competitive advantage.

You will own the full recruitment cycle while delivering standout service to hiring leaders and candidates. Through every interaction, you will help establish CLV as an employer of choice and a place where exceptional people want to build their careers.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Partnership and Strategy

  • Become a highly respected and trusted partner to hiring leaders by understanding their business, providing responsive service and consistently delivering excellent results.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to understand evolving workforce needs and align recruitment priorities with business objectives.
  • Provide practical guidance and market intelligence on talent availability, compensation, candidate expectations and competitive hiring conditions.
  • Anticipate current and future talent needs by developing a strong understanding of CLV’s strategy, growth plans and operational priorities.

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead the full recruitment cycle across corporate and operational roles, including role design, sourcing, screening, assessment, selection, offers and onboarding.
  • Build and execute targeted recruitment strategies that connect the business with exceptional talent when and where it is needed.
  • Develop strong pipelines for critical, recurring and future roles, including high-calibre candidates who may not be actively seeking a new opportunity.
  • Assess candidates based on their capabilities, experience, potential and alignment with CLV’s values, and provide thoughtful, evidence-based hiring recommendations.

Employer Brand and Candidate Experience

  • Help build CLV into one of the most respected, exciting and desired employers in the market, externally and internally.
  • Bring CLV’s culture, values and career opportunities to life through compelling job postings, recruitment campaigns and candidate communications.
  • Deliver a candidate experience that is professional, transparent, responsive and memorable.
  • Build trusted relationships with candidates and ensure every person leaves with a positive impression of CLV, regardless of the hiring outcome.
  • Strengthen CLV’s presence within professional networks, universities, industry associations and other important talent communities.
  • Represent CLV with professionalism, energy and credibility at career fairs, networking events, campus activities and industry initiatives.

Recruitment Excellence

  • Use recruitment technologies to strengthen sourcing, manage activity and deliver an efficient recruitment experience.
  • Use data, market insights and feedback to improve recruitment quality, speed and results.
  • Stay current on labour market conditions, emerging sourcing strategies, recruitment technology and evolving candidate expectations.
  • Support Talent programs that strengthen culture, engagement and the employee experience.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality and compliance with company policies and applicable employment legislation.

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. We welcome candidates from a range of academic backgrounds and place particular value on business judgement and leadership potential.
  • Up to five years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, sales, customer experience or another people-focused or relationship-driven role.
  • High-potential candidates at the beginning of their careers are encouraged to apply. The strongest candidates will demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and the ability to build relationships and deliver results.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple business functions or within a competitive, high-growth environment is considered an asset.
  • A CHRP designation, progress toward completion or an interest in pursuing the designation is considered an asset but is not required.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities with focus, organization, attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional results.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling recruitment materials and candidate communications.

  • The ability to communicate in multiple languages is considered an asset.  
  • Participation in competitive sports, leadership programs, volunteer organizations, or extracurricular activities that demonstrate drive, resilience, teamwork, leadership, and a high-performance mindset.

Final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, education, professional designations, internal equity, and job-related requirements. We welcome candidates at all stages of their career and value the diverse experiences and contributions everyone brings to CLV Group. This is a full-time, in-office role based in our office 5 days per week, providing the opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues, learn from experienced professionals and contribute within an engaging, high-performing team environment. Occasional travel within Canada is required.
