Job Description

Reporting into the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and will play a critical role in maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates for the business units they support.

What you're responsible for: 

  • Understand Job Requirements: Work closely with hiring managers to understand the specific needs and requirements for each role. 
  • Business Acumen: Begin to understand how this role or department fits into the greater scope of the company and the goals.
  • Provide Recruitment Expertise: Offer guidance and advice to hiring managers on recruitment strategies, interview techniques, and candidate evaluation.
  • Work with HR and Management: Collaborate with HR teams and management to align recruitment efforts with overall business goals. 
  • Facilitate the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
  • Manage Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities in the ATS, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. 
  • Adopt Best Practices: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and integrate them into the recruitment process.
  • Talent Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for current and future job openings. 
  • Proactive Sourcing: Identify and engage with passive candidates who may not be actively seeking a new role but fit the job requirements. 
  • Execute Sourcing Strategies: Execute sourcing strategies to attract highly qualified candidates for senior-level and specialized roles. 
  • Market Research: Conduct ongoing research to stay informed about industry trends, talent availability, and the competitive landscape, adjusting sourcing strategies as needed. 
  • Resume Review: Screen resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet the job requirements. 
  • Conduct Interviews: Conduct initial phone and in-person interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit. 
  • Provide Candidate Recommendations: Present qualified candidates to hiring managers, providing insights and recommendations based on interviews and assessments. 
  • Ensure a Positive Experience: Maintain clear, timely communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive and professional experience. 
  • Promote Company Culture: Actively promote the company’s culture, values, and employer brand to attract top talent. 
  • Represent the Company: Attend job fairs, networking events, and other recruitment-related activities to represent the company and build relationships with potential candidates. 

Qualifications

Required skills: 

  • Previous experience managing full cycle recruiting, sales, customer service
  • Knowledge and proven track record tapping traditional and non-traditional candidate natural habitats both online and in person 
  • Knowledge in soliciting and utilizing employee referrals 
  • Proficient at time management and organizing large quantities of information 
  • A strong sense of urgency flexibility and adaptability 
  • Persuasive and effective written and spoken communication skills 
  • Fluent in French and English
