Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment for technical, engineering, and construction roles across the project. This position ensures timely hiring, strong candidate experience, and alignment with project needs, internal processes, and client requirements. The role partners closely with hiring managers, HRBP, project leadership, and subcontractors to support workforce planning and staffing. The position is based out of our project office in Don Mills.
Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruitment for construction and engineering roles (field engineers, coordinators, superintendents, H&S, etc.).
Proactively developing sourcing strategies and maintain proactive pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, and community partners.
Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, manage scorecards, and support selection decisions.
Advise hiring managers on job requirements, market insights, and recruitment timelines.
Maintain recruitment trackers, documentation, and audit-ready records.
Support employer branding, job fairs, and community outreach.
Collaborate with HR team to align offers, PAF approvals, and onboarding coordination.
Coach junior recruitment coordinators
This role may also involve supporting other departments or performing additional tasks as required to meet project or business needs.
Required Skills and Competencies
3–5+ years of recruitment experience, ideally in construction, engineering, or industrial sectors.
Strong sourcing and interviewing skills.
Experience working in fast-paced project environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Lists, Excel).
Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferably Workday, and sourcing tools.
