Job Description
We are seeking talented technical sales professional with a passion for helping customers successfully deploy Motorola Solutions technologies. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you will work with some of the world’s most recognized organizations, supporting their efforts to enhance safety, security, and operational efficiency. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor; your job is to know the customer’s needs and how Motorola Solutions can solve them. You will be guiding customers in selecting the right solutions, shaping deployment architectures, coordinating with vendors on installation and support strategies, overseeing project execution, and supporting launch planning. After deployment, you will remain engaged to address ongoing operational needs and ensure long-term success.
The Technical Account Manager serves as a key link between customers and Motorola Solutions’s internal teams. You will collaborate closely with Channel Sales Executives (CSEs), with your role focusing on technical advocacy while CSEs manage the broader business relationship. This partnership ensures that each deployment is executed effectively, delivering outcomes that align with our customers’ strategic objectives.
At Motorola Solutions, you will:
Build relationships with customers to thoroughly understand their business needs and identify ways in which Motorola Solutions can improve their operations
Learn Motorola Solutions products and become an expert at planning and deploying Motorola Solutions solutions
Work with customers to accurately spec hardware and networking needs then plan and assist in every aspect of the deployment from hardware to software
Travel as required to assist in deployment, commissioning, troubleshooting and operational needs
Work with integrators to ensure efficient deployment, proper customer support, and manage hardware refresh cycles
Build relationships with internal Motorola Solutions teams and keep a pulse on all customer needs
Provide support to internal Solutions Architects, Sales Managers, and Support Personnel when your expertise is needed
Specific Knowledge & Skills:
5+ years experience in one of the following: Sales, Video or Physical Security
Experience deploying solutions on a distributed architecture
Understanding of and ability to use API’s
Ability to quickly understand and troubleshoot complex networking requirements and software applications
Excellent soft skills in dealing with all customer departments
Strong presentation and communication skills. Comfortable presenting from the technician level to the program management level while managing and addressing their differing concerns
Ability to travel across the United States up to 50% by air and car as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience deploying and managing cloud applications
Prior background in computer engineering for AI / ML computer vision products
Experience in the security industry
Target Base Salary Range: $120,000- $130,000 USD
