- Define the roadmap, and success metrics for aeronautical and maintenance data products in alignment with Product Management vision.
- Translate business requirements into clear product backlog items, acceptance criteria, and data contracts.
- Prioritize features, technical debt, and operational work to maximize business value while balancing engineering constraints.
Data Quality
- Work with data engineers to implement and validate data quality checks and ensure observability for data health.
Data Flow & Platform Coordination
- Own end-to-end data flow requirements (ingest → transform → publish) on platforms such as Azure Databricks/Delta Lake.
- Drive adoption of Bronze/Silver/Gold layering and feature readiness practices for analytics.
Metadata, Catalog & Governance
- Advocate for and operationalize use of metadata/catalog tooling to ensure discoverability and trust.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical teams.
- Facilitate requirements discovery, demo sessions, release planning, and stakeholder communication.
Security, Access & Compliance
- Define and validate data access requirements and Role Based Access Control (RBAC) / IAM configurations in line with aviation security, privacy, and regulatory needs.
Operationalization & Reliability
- Define operational KPIs and runbooks for data product health, reliability, and incident management.
- Lead change management for schema and feature changes to minimize downstream impact.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement through data profiling, harmonization and enrichment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 7+ years' experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or similar role working with data products, with strong technical orientation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Demonstrated experience specifying data contracts, SLAs, lineage, and data quality requirements for production data products.
- Practical understanding of Bronze/Silver/Gold data layering and feature readiness for feature consumption.
- Practical understanding of metadata/catalog tools such as Unity Catalog, Collibra, or Alation.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- Prior experience in aviation, flight operations, maintenance data, or working with time-series/telemetry/sensor datasets.
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks and Delta Lake, and with designing ingest/transform/publish pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Aviation, or related field / experience.
- Familiarity with RBAC/IAM concepts and secure data access patterns in cloud environments.
