Position Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive end-to-end program execution in British Columbia, Canada. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, you'll lead implementations for our media and entertainment customers (Autodesk Flow). You’ll partner with our Product Management, Software Engineering, and Design teams to drive  cross-team collaboration. You'll help us successfully deliver complex technical solutions to our customer base in media & entertainment. You will be accountable for the delivery of technical programs and initiatives, including planning, execution, risk management, dependency management, and stakeholder alignment. To be successful in this role, you possess a blend of technical expertise, business acumen and a strong capacity to build and develop relationships across different teams and organizational levels. This role will include Scrum Master responsibilities and will require working closely with scrum teams based in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Create alignment on cross organizations initiatives through outcome driven planning, dependency management and impediment removal

  • Engage with engineering leadership and teams to build clear delivery plans

  • Monitor and refine delivery plans throughout program execution and communicate frequently with stakeholders about progress against goals

  • Collaborate with teams to remove impediments by supporting software development teams with exception handling, own risk identification and mitigation analysis to address potential roadblocks, reduce time wasters, optimize delivery, and improve internal team's satisfaction of our delivery process

  • Guide Development team program efforts on providing technical solutions from design through delivery

  • Drive automation of delivery processes that span across teams (design, development, and operations) with transparency and clarity as a focus

  • Drive continuous improvement and our science-based, Kaizen culture by leading change through retrospectives and “lessons learned”

  •  Own the communication of program health, initiatives and achievements to Autodesk teams and divisional leadership

  • Lead scrum management for 2 or more sprint teams, and drive agile process improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Technical Program Manager capacity or similar role, in technology, computer software or related industry

  • Experience leading end to end programs with high accountability

  • Experience working directly with software development teams on complex initiatives involving multiple teams and in an Agile environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of distributed systems, cloud services, and / or cloud platform

  • Experience managing different company stakeholders, from technical teams to business leaders, product managers and designers

  • Demonstrated experience developing presentations and written communications on program status for different company stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple sprint teams as Scrum Master leveraging various methodologies

  • Ability to impart a sense of urgency, zeal for process and operational excellence

  • Experience using technical tools to scale programs and solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of system design and data analytics

  • Experience in leading technical program for cloud products and platforms

  • 3+ years of experience in driving program delivery in an Agile environment

  • Knowledge and experience in the Media and Entertainment industry

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $119,600 and $164,450. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
