About the role:

We are seeking a  a Technical Project Coordinator to help plan and deliver customer technology projects. The priority is conducting accurate site walks for physical security, network, and structured cabling installations, then giving the team clear findings to support estimates, scopes of work, and successful installations. We can train the TPC on specific products, estimating, and budget tracking.

The TPC will work with the Senior Technical Manager, Solutions Engineer, and Director of Technology and Special Projects. The Director leads overall project management and most customer communications; the TPC coordinates assigned work and supports the Director. The role also helps coordinate MSP and AI-related engagements with the appropriate engineers and consultants.

This is an active opportunity. Looking to hire immediately.

Location & Travel:

  • This role is based at our Richmond Hill headquarters. When not in the field, the TPC is expected to work from the office.
  • Site-visit frequency depends on workload: some weeks may involve several visits and others none. Most travel is within the Greater Toronto Area; trips elsewhere in Ontario occur occasionally.
  • Air travel may be required for some projects. It could be needed a couple of times in a year, but the frequency is not known in advance and depends on project requirements.
  • Travel-related compensation and per diems will be provided as per the company policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as technical field representative during site assessments by gathering accurate information, documenting existing conditions, and ensuring technical teams have the date required to plan successful installations.
  • Conduct installation site walks; document locations, quantities, cable pathways, mounting conditions, power and network availability, access, and existing infrastructure.
  • Identify and document site-readiness issues, missing information, installation risks, and assumptions that need resolution before pricing or scheduling.
  • Deliver clear notes, photos, measurements or quantities, and open questions for the technical team to use in estimates and scopes of work.
  • Assist the Director and the technical team with installation planning activities, including work sequencing, materials coordination, site access requirements, and scheduling considerations.
  • Assist with material lists, estimates, proposals, and scopes of work under technical review; communicate the agreed scope and assumptions to the project manager and installers.
  • Coordinate schedules, status, customer updates, and next steps for assigned projects in alignment with the Director.
  • Gather facts on onsite blockers, coordinate technical answers, and escalate design, scope, cost, or schedule changes before commitments are made.
  • Support coordination for MSP and AI-related engagements, tracking owners and answers while relying on specialists for technical decisions.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 2+ years of hands-on field experience in structured cabling, network installation, physical security installation, IT field work, or a related area; experience in every category is not required.
  • Practical ability to identify what a site needs for an installation to succeed and to speak up when details are uncertain.
  • Strong organization, documentation, follow-through, attention to detail and communication skills with customers, installers, and technical teams.
  • Ability and willingness to drive to customer sites across Ontario. A valid Ontario Class G driver's licence, or the ability to demonstrate that one can be obtained by the start date, is required.
  • Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Verkada, Cat6/copper cabling, cameras, access control, material takeoffs, installation estimating, or drafting scopes of work.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Verkada, Cat6/copper cabling, cameras, access control, material takeoffs, installation estimating, or drafting scopes of work.

What We Offer:

  • A Role with Multiple Career Paths: This is not a traditional project coordination role. The exposure you gain can open doors across different career paths, including technical delivery, project management, solution consulting, or sales enablement.
  • Cross-Functional Exposure: Get a direct view of how our solutions are designed, scoped, delivered, and supported for clients.
  • Learn from Industry Specialists: Work alongside specialists across different technology and business domains, giving you the opportunity to build knowledge across multiple areas of the industry.
  • Hands-On Learning & Training: Gain practical experience through real client projects, site work, technology solutions, and collaboration across teams. Product-specific knowledge and estimating processes will be taught.
  • Competitive Compensation Package
