The Technical Specialist will be a key member of the Network Services team, offering technical support and expertise in a fast-paced operational environment. They will play a vital role in resolving incidents, managing network changes, and providing mentorship to junior team members. The successful candidate will have a strong background in wireless network design, configuration, and deployment, with a focus on Aruba and Cisco solutions. Responsibilities
  • Resolve high-priority incidents and service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Manage incident tickets, provide technical solutions, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
  • Perform root cause analysis, document findings, and recommend improvements for network design.
  • Follow change and problem management processes for network updates and implementations.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and assist with remote project implementations.
  • Design and implement wireless networks, including Access Points, Controllers, and Gateways.
  • Manage authentication solutions using ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) or Cisco ISE.
  • Troubleshoot complex wireless network issues and provide technical support to users.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for wireless network configurations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Telecommunications, IT, or Computer Science.
  • 6+ years of experience in Network Services, with a strong focus on complex network environments.
  • Proven experience in Wireless LAN design, configuration, and deployment with Aruba or Cisco technologies.
  • Hands-on expertise with Aruba WLAN products and ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM).
  • Expertise in complex routing design and troubleshooting across multi-vendor platforms.
  • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve network issues, with a basic understanding of core network technologies.
  • Proficiency in authentication protocols (Radius, TACACs, LDAP) and network security principles.
  • Experience in requirement gathering for network solutions and a good understanding of Enterprise WLAN concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Certifications such as ACCP, ACMA, or ACCX are highly desirable.
