This Position reports to:

Technical Support Manager


 

Working in the Energy Industries division, based in eastern Europe, optionally worldwide, you will be cooperating with international teams to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction in our worldwide applied solutions for electrical power generation. Reporting to the Head of Product Support, you will perform various product and life cycle activities to assist in the development, launch, maintenance, and profitability of UNITROL, MEGATROL and SYNCHROTACT products.

Your responsibilities

  • Technical support for ABB experts worldwide, ABB business partners and End customers with Salesforce as the CRM (Customer relationship management) platform and participation in ensuring 24/7 availability of remote support line
  • Leading resolution teams and handling customer communication for support cases where different stakeholders (e.g., System experts, R&D, Quality etc.) build a resolution team according to severity, complexity, and urgency
  • Lead and support with type test activities, component specifications, life cycle solutions and product engineering etc.
  • Supporting customers with grid code compliance studies (e.g. Power Factory, PSS/E, PSCAD) and digital transformation (e.g. cyber security, digital twin)
 

Your background

  • Bachelor or master’s in electrical engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in field service or engineering with Power Generation System know how, Embedded Software and Control Hardware plus Power Electronics (Experience with excitation systems is preferred)
  • Fluency in English, any other languages are an asset
  • Intrinsic attitude to drive innovation and improvement
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • High sense of responsibility and commitment
  • High degree of intercultural awareness
