As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging is recruiting for a Test Specialist in Waterloo.

Job Summary:

Teledyne is looking to hire a sensor test specialist for the Advanced Imaging (Aerospace & Defense and Life Sciences) division.

Detailed Description:

The successful candidate will work in a team environment to provide technical support for the assembly, design, test, characterization and documentation of high-performance image sensor products and multispectral optical filters for use in Aerospace, Defense and Life Science applications.

Primary responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Support characterization and validation of CMOS and CCD image sensor performance. Analyze test data and present test results in accurate and clear manner.

  • Perform optical filter inspection and report accurate defect mapping.

  • Evaluate and test components, sub systems or products by following established means. Set-up and calibrate optical test benches for image sensor characterization.

  • Assist in the development or commission of test equipment including automated optical filter inspection system.

  • Recommend refinements to existing procedures, techniques and test methodologies.

  • Create customer facing documents including test result reports for project deliverables and other technical notes.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Nano Engineering, Physics, or a technical diploma with relevant experience.

  • Direct experience with LabVIEW, Matlab, or other scripting languages.

  • Familiarity with image sensors and image sensor evaluation.

  • Proficiency in the operation and hardware-software interfacing of laboratory equipment used in image sensor characterization including high speed oscilloscopes, optical power meters, light sources.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Familiarity with optical component inspection and evaluation.
