About the Opportunity
Frugal is early stage startup focused on AI driven Application Cost Engineering. Our founding team has built and scaled three successful startups. We're looking for our first UX Designer to help us create something special. You will work closely with our engineering team to design and implement a prototype UI that we can test with our design customers. We do not need a full time resource at this point. We're looking for a part time resource that could grow into full time in the future.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end UX design across our web app and supporting experiences
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather insights from early adopters
- Translate complex data and workflows into intuitive UI/UX patterns
- Advocate for the user in every product conversation
- Help evolve and maintain our design system
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 3+ years of UX/UI design experience in SaaS or B2B tools
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX process and high-quality UI
- Experience working with Figma (or equivalent) and modern design systems
- Comfortable collaborating with engineers and customers in English
Bonus:
- Experience designing for developers, FinOps tools, or AI-driven interfaces.
